Learning Center

The KML Learning Center exists to encourage and work with students who need additional help to develop essential skills, positive attitudes, self-confidence, and personal responsibility.  Through the Learning Center, the students are equipped to be successful learners with the gifts God has given them.

The Learning Center strives to achieve the mission of KML - Empowered by God’s Word, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School educates, encourages, and equips God’s people for life and for eternity.

The KML Learning Center is headed by Mrs. Sheila Krause, a teacher with a degree in special education and many years of experience teaching students with a variety of learning problems.

The Learning Center serves students with a variety of learning abilities and styles. Some students may need to be taught in a different way or may need more time in order to learn. The Learning Center operates in order to serve these students with differing learning abilities and styles and may need extra academic support in basic education. Students of KML who are identified as "At Risk" because of low motivation or who are low achievers will be required to work with the Learning Center teachers. For more information for "At Risk" students, please see the KML Handbook.

The students at KML have access to the Learning Center, a large study room that is manned all eight hours of the school day.  Students receive the following services in the Learning Center:

  • review or re-teaching of material
  • one-on-one tutoring
