GRADE SCHOOL CHEERLEADING CAMP
The award winning KMLHS Cheer and Stunt Team will be conducting its annual
grade school cheerleading camp June 3-6. This camp is designed for girls
entering 1st through 8th grades. The cheerleaders will be divided into 3
groups; 1st‑3rd grades, 4th‑6th grades, and 7th & 8th grades. Each group
will work at their skill level. All cheerleading skills will be taught
including cheers, jumps, stunts, dance, and tumbling. During the week there
will be theme days, team building games, and spirit awards. On the last day
of camp we will have a performance for parents and an awards ceremony.
Awards will be given in each level. Each girl will receive a camp T‑shirt
if registered by 5/21. Registration forms are available

KMLHS CHEERLEADERS WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!
On Saturday, February 9th,
the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Cheer & Stunt Team, coached by Amy Nass,
Shannon Oestreich, & Megan Wisniewski,
participated in the WACPC (Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches)
State Cheerleading Competition held at the Brown County Arena in Green
Bay . The cheer team qualified for the State competition on Saturday,
January 26th, by receiving a
first place award at the WACPC Eastern Regional
competition. Over 60 squads from Wisconsin high schools participated in
the state competition. The KMLHS Cheer Team earned a 1st place standing
in their division and were named the
Division III State Champions for the 5th
year in a row. In addition to the team awards, Angie
Chiconas and Kayla Wisniewski were named to the 2008
WACPC All-State Honorable Mention
Cheer Team and Mary Seidler was
named to the 2008 WACPC All-State Cheer Team. The KMLHS
cheerleaders are thankful to their parent’s and fans for the
encouragement and support throughout the season. They are also extremely
thankful to our Lord and Savior for blessing all their endeavors.
KMLHS GRADE SCHOOL CHEER & DANCE COMPETITION
We would like to congratulate
all teams that participated in our competition
on Saturday, February 2nd, 2008. Bethlehem
received the Spirit Award, David's Star and
St. Lucas tied for first in the dance division, St. John's Lannon
placed first in the 5‑6th grade cheer division, Zion
placed first in the 7-8th grade cheer small team division, and
Menomonee Falls' 8th grade team placed first
in the 7‑8th grade cheer large team
division. We would like to thank all competitors, family &
friends for making the competition a success. We would also like to
thank HEAT All-Star Gym for loaning
us their competition mats free of charge! The date for the 2009

The
KMLHS Cheer team is made up of dedicated and enthusiastic athletes. These
athletes devote a significant amount of time and effort to be part of a
program that strives to be their best for God’s glory.
The
head coaches have over 16 years of experience coaching cheerleading. They
are dedicated to excellence, both athletic and academic. The athlete's faith
and education are of the utmost importance to the coaches, and they are
dedicated to helping their athletes have a successful high school career.
The current cheerleading program consists of a JV and varsity squad.
Both the JV and Varsity teams have been recognized for their talent at
various competitions in the Midwest.
The JV team was named the 2008 & 2005 WACPC JAM State Champions.
The varsity cheer & stunt team was the Division III 2008, 2007, 2006,
2005, 2004, & 2003 WACPC Regional Champions, and four the past five years
straight, held their title as Division III WACPC State Champions.
The football cheer team cheers for all home games, with the season running
from late August to mid-October. The basketball cheer team cheers for
all boys and girls home games, with the season running from early November
until the end of February. Practices are normally two to three times a
week. Tumbling classes are also
offered. During the season, the JV and varsity squad normally compete
in 3-4 competitions.
The team also offers a 4-day summer camp for 1-8th grade girls, a
day clinic for 4-8th grade girls, and hosts their popular grade
school cheer and dance competition. The team also attends various
camps and clinics throughout the season and is involved in several community
service activities.
Selection of the varsity and JV squads occur in early March.
